Brian Jordan, 26, and a 16-year-old, both of Marksville, were recently arrested in connection with shootings that occurred Aug. 22, on the Biz Lounge parking lot off of Louisiana Highway 1 north of Marksville, according to the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The pair was arrested on a warrant that indicates several witnesses identified Jordan as being one of the people involved in the shooting. The juvenile is accused of brandishing a small caliber revolver at the scene and randomly shooting it.

A bullet didn’t hit anyone from the juvenile’s weapon, authorities said.

Investigators determined the shootings allegedly stemmed from arguments that occurred earlier in the night at a local Marksville lounge. When the lounge closed, those involved in the argument congregated in the parking lot. The argument escalated resulting in gunfire.

Jordan and another man allegedly exchanged gunfire, which resulted in Jordan suffering a gunshot wound to the leg prior to fleeing the scene.

Jordan was charged with aggravated criminal damage to property, aggravated assault, illegal use of a weapon or dangerous instrumentalities and possession of a firearm on premises of an alcoholic beverage outlet. He is being held on a $500,000 bond.

Meanwhile, the juvenile was charged with possession of a firearm on premises of an alcoholic beverage outlet. He was released to his parent’s custody pending a juvenile adjudication hearing in the 12 Judicial District.
