More than 200 people gathered at the 2010 Women of Distinction Awards Ceremony and Reception in honor of nine women who contributed to their homes, churches and communities.
“This is The Light’s way of saying thank you for what you do for Central Louisiana. We are better people because of what you do,” said Publisher Sherri L. Jackson
The honorees are Cheronda Cooper, Barbara Dashiell, Annette Drummer, Connie Gonzales, Mary Hollingsworth, Winnifred Jett, Ingrid Johnson and Sylvia Martin.
