Two Rapides Parish men were arrested Wednesday, June 15, for allegedly burglarizing Paradise Baptist Church in Tioga on June 7, according to Rapides Parish Sheriff Charles Wagner.
Anthony Barron, 17, 155 Lena Dr., Pollock, and John Lasyone, 18, 92 Robert Goleman Rd., Elmer, were each charged with simple burglary of a religions building.
Investigators suspect the men went into the church on the night of June 7 and stole some packages of cookies and some cans of soda. They are accused of entering the church by removing the plywood covering from a broken window.
Both men had been previously arrested for trespassing at another location. Investigators are not looking for anyone else relating to the crime.
