Alexandria woman accused of trying to steal TV from Wal-Mart

Natalie Ann Landry, 33, 1717 Bush Ave., Alexandria, is accused of trying to steal a flat screen television by placing the item in a box that had contained a fan at Wal-Mart on North Mall Drive, according to Alexandria Police.

Landry was booked into the Rapides Parish Jail Sunday, June 13, on charges of theft $500 and up, possession of CDS II with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant.

The incident occurred about 9:11 p.m. Witnesses told police they observed Landry pick up a bag from off of one of the store racks and use it to allegedly place store in it. Witnesses also told police Landry allegedly took an electric fan out of its box and place an 18.5 inch flat screen television inside of it. She then went to the garden section to purchase a curtain rod. The cashier scanned the prize on the fan box, which allegedly contained the television and other stolen items. She was stopped while leaving the store.

Landry is also accused of having a glass pipe used for smoking narcotics inside of her purse. She is accused of also having a black zipper case containing seven syringes and a digital scale.
