The American Red Cross Hero Campaign launched March 1 and continues through April 30 needs heroes to reach its community’s goal, according to the Central Louisiana chapter of the American Red Cross.
Dr. Joshua Joy Dara, pastor of Zion Hill Baptist Church, is leading the charge to raise $50,000 that will be used to help support people facing devastating emergencies and disasters in Central Louisiana.
Dara is looking for donors who can donate $1,000 each that may be secured through fund-raisers.
Others seeking to raise $50,000 each are McDonald’s of Alexandria, Deep South Chiropractic of Leesville, the Avoyelles Community Moms, Red Cross Volunteers, Brian Thomson’s State Farm Insurance Agency, Wal-Marts of Central Louisiana (Leesville, Marksville, Jena, Vidalia, Alexandria & Pineville), parish schools, community organizations, churches, and individuals.
