RPSO investigating deaths of two elderly Deville residents

The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths of two Deville residents, whose bodies were found in their home shortly before noon, Wednesday, March 17, according to Sheriff Charles F. Wagner Jr.

The bodies of Bobby Smith, 70, and Alvy Smith, 65, both of 125 Paul Rd., were found about 11:58 a.m. It is not known how long they had been there before discovered.

The cause of death has not been determined. Dr. Frances Brian, Rapides Parish coroner, ordered an autopsy.
