Gospel music recording artist Marvin Sapp preached and sang Wednesday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where the Rev. Ameal Jones is pastor.

Sapp ministered to a pack house of people coming to hear him sing his popular songs “Best in Me” and “Never Would Have Made It.”

The concert was set to start at 7 with doors opening at 6. Attendees started lining up at the door at 5:30.

Local officials, including District 1 Councilman Edward Larvadain III, Council President Roosevelt Johnson and State Rep. Herbert Dixon, attended and made presentations to Sapp.
