Jennifer Rose Dubroc, 22, of 2432 Louisiana Highway 457, Alexandria, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of her 6-week-old son, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Dubroc was arrested Tuesday, Feb. 23, and booked into the Rapides Parish Jail.
On April 29, 2009, Dubroc allegedly brought her son, Gabriel Joseph Flournoy, to Rapides Regional Medical Center’s ER due to his not breathing. While being treated, medical staff observed what appeared to be trauma to the baby’s head area. The baby died a day later.
Results from an autopsy indicate a homicide may have occurred.
