Alexandria woman accused of stealing liquor from Rite Aid

Britney Johnson, 21, 2209 A Carr St., was arrested Thursday in connection with theft of liquor at Rite Aid pharmacy located in Alexandria Mall, according to the Alexandria Police Department.

Johnson allegedly went into the store carrying a Stage store bag and a zebra print purse. She is accused of filling the bag and the purse with bottles of assorted liquor. When the store’s manager confronted her, she allegedly got out of the store with only the items in her purse. The manager was able to get the Stage bag.

Johnson allegedly got into a vehicle and started to back it out to avoid mall security. She allegedly backed into a white Mazda on the lot and fled. She was arrested and booked on a charges of theft and hit and run.
