Wal-Mart employee accused of stealing six laptops

A North Mall Drive Wal-Mart employee is accused of stealing six laptops from the back storage room and hiding them on the sales floor so that he could walk out of the store with them, according to the Alexandria Police Department.

Sir Regonal Humphrey, 20, 815 Leonard St., Alexandria was arrested Wednesday night on a charge of theft greater than $500. The arrest was the result of the store’s loss prevention department with a suspicion of theft allegedly observing Humphrey for a couple of days.

When officers arrived, Humphrey allegedly had two of the laptops hiding in the store. When questioned about the laptops, Humphrey allegedly led officers to the dog food section where the computers were hidden under a few bags of dog food.

The computers were valued at more than $3,000.
